What We Do
Helping Homeless Families Build New Lives

Family Promise helps local communities coordinate their compassion to address the root causes of family homelessness.  We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management when they become homeless, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent.

We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

We serve families that have already lost or are at risk of losing their homes and assist them with the necessary resources to get them back on their feet.  Our organization is best positioned to support unstably housed families and children under 18 on their journey to permanent housing through our holistic approach to solving homelessness.

Our hospitality in action model uses trauma-informed methods and evidence-based programs to break the cycle of family homelessness through our core components of:

  • Prevention and Diversion

  • Emergency Shelter

  • Graduate Support Services

Through our collaborative network of 400 active volunteers, we empower families on a path to independent living and most importantly, we cultivate a sense of community that is critical for long-term stability and wellness.

Preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place with Shelter Diversion, Rental Assistance and Transportation programs.

Our rotational shelter program and warm hospitality is the foundation of the Family Promise model.

Helping the families we serve not only succeed today but remain stable in their housing, financial capability and career paths tomorrow.
